The Practice of Distinction

Practice Tips - Making Distinctions

Uncertain Times

Leaders do three things in times of Crisis.

  • Leaders see things as they are not worse than they are.  That means to acknowledge what is there and what is real for the practice.
  • Then leaders see it better. Seeing things better doesn't mean suffering until something happens to make it better.  Too often practices just "tough through it" rather than make it better.
  • And then DO something right away. Get into action.  Difficult times require action, not talk, not reasons that you are too busy, or too tired or don't know what to do.  If you don't know what to do find someone who has gotten the results you are looking for and take them to lunch.  Getting into action is a pattern of behavior, a habit.  Creating a new habit takes resolve, commitment and constant reinforcement, which you will do IF what you see and think is compelling.  Kids don't have trouble getting up in the morning for Disney World.   Contact us about creating that for you.
